Net Worth Report for December 2012

Net Worth Report for December 2012
Net Worth Report for December 2012: $267,500

Our expenses have crept up mightily as we are planning to relocate to Florida to semi-retire there around the middle of next year or so. Also, we have to shelled out $2,500 to replace the fence around the house before putting the house up for sale on the market.

Fortunately, the increase in expenses has been offset by the increase in salary due to promotion. There are still many uncertainties until we settle down. In any case, it will take us at least until the summer of 2013 to stabilize the monthly expense. As long as the net worth month-to-month rate is positive, we are happy.

Here is the secret to semi-retire that I recognize a long time ago: (1) Spend less than you earn and (2) building up savings to provide financial security for the rest of your life.
