Net Worth Report for March 2014

Net Worth Report for March 2014
Net Worth Report for March 2014: $388,685

This is the sixth straight month that our net worth has been increased by $10,000 or more. The longer this fortunate streak lasts, the sooner we can be financially independent. In fact, from March 2013 to March 2014 our net worth increases by $100k. This is the first time ever that our net worth increases by 100k in just one-year period!

Let’s put this big milestone in perspective. When we first started out after college graduation, it took us five long years just to reach $100,000 in net worth. Then it took us another two full years to reach $200,000. To get to $300,000 only took about a year and half. The last $100,000 jump only takes exactly 1 year. I can really see the power of saving and compounding, and I hope this awesome upward trend continues until the day we fully retire.

With the extra money that we received from the tax refund check this month, we continue to accelerate the mortgage payment in order to make the pay off date in 2018 more realistic.
